Fight or flight response basically pertains to the body’s response to a stress. It means that the body either overcomes the stress by fighting it physically or physically distancing from the stress stimuli.

Take for example the case of a flying cockroach. Gross and scary, right? In that situation, a girl can respond to the cockroach in two ways. First, she can muster up her courage brought about by adrenaline and kill the cockroach. Or second, she could just leave the place where the cockroach is flying around. Either way, the girl will be saving herself from a stressful experience.

So how does one deal with a situation more complex and complicated than a flying cockroach? How can a girl react in a fight or flight mode when the stress is abstract and intangible?
